Virginia Baz Urzanqui reconoce que su contacto con la Arquitectura Técnica no fue vocacional, pero se apasionó por la versatilidad de la profesión. Destaca la importancia de poder participar en todas las fases de la construcción, desde el diseño al mantenimiento, y considera que el reto ahora está en la sostenibilidad y la transformación digital para construir edificios inteligentes, más eficientes y saludables.
1.Breve currículo:
Empecé trabajando en Oficina Técnica en varios Estudios de Arquitectura colaborando en la redacción de proyectos y en Direcciones de Ejecución de obras. Actualmente mi carrera profesional está centrada en el ámbito de la Administración Pública como responsable del Mantenimiento y Conservación de los Edificios en la Diputación Provincial de Burgos.
2.¿Por qué te hiciste Aparejadora? ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de la profesión?
En realidad, no fue vocacional, mi primer contacto con la carrera de Aparejador fue en el instituto a través de mi profesor de violín, que estaba estudiando Arquitectura Técnica en la Universidad de Burgos. Quizás eso sumado a que, en ese momento, la carrera de Arquitectura Técnica estaba considerada como una de las mejores de Burgos con múltiples salidas profesionales, fueron los motivos por los cuales tomé esa decisión.
Lo que más me gusta de la profesión es la versatilidad que ofrece. Nos hace participar en todas las fases de la construcción, desde la concepción y diseño del proyecto hasta la conservación y el mantenimiento de los edificios durante toda su vida útil.
3.Un proyecto para recordar…
No tengo uno en particular, he colaborado en muchos proyectos y lo que más recuerdo es todos los compañer@s con los que he compartido horas de trabajo en su estudio, diseño, replanteo, encaje con las instalaciones, mediciones y presupuestos…
4.¿Cuál es tu papel en la Junta de Gobierno? ¿Qué aportas y esperas?
Mi papel en la Junta de Gobierno es como vocal. Espero aportar mi granito de arena junto al resto de miembros de la Junta y del Colegio en la defensa y promoción de nuestra profesión para estos próximos 4 años.
5.¿Cuáles crees que son los retos actuales de la profesión?
Adaptar la arquitectura técnica a la sostenibilidad, a la calidad del aire interior y a la transformación digital, construyendo edificios inteligentes, más eficientes y saludables.
6.Un sueño para el COAATBU
Me gustaría poder acercar el COAATBU a los Aparejadores y Arquitectos Técnicos de la provincia de Burgos para ser un colectivo más numeroso, fuerte y unido.
7.Algo que añadir…
Me gustaría que se reconociese debidamente nuestra profesión sin tener que acudir a los juzgados por cuestión de competencias y atribuciones profesionales en las distintas intervenciones.
